Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC, has the world's largest HDTV screen.  The video board is 200 feet wide and 80 feet tall and is approximately 30 percent larger than the much-lauded video board at Texas' Cowboys Stadium.

Three big races take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway: the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series All-Star Race, Coca-Cola 600 and Bank of America 500. Speed-seeking race fans can sign up for the NASCAR Racing Experience, where you can go 160 mph in racecars that have been driven by NASCAR greats like Dale Jr. and Jeff Gordon. Kids can get a rush of adrenaline at Victory Lane Karting, which has an indoor track where you can reach 45 mph.

Charlotte’s NASCAR Hall of Fame is a hit with families, history buffs, gearheads and more – you don’t have to be a die-hard NASCAR fan to get in on the high-speed fun. At race shops in and around Charlotte, you can stock up on gear.
