Charlotte Motor Speedway
Charlotte Motor Speedway is a top notch race vacation destination where fans can immerse themselves in the heart of NASCAR country. Visitors can attend one-of-a-kind race spectacles such as the Coca-Cola 600, NASCAR All-Star Race and Bank of America 500; take behind-the-scenes speedway and race shop tours; explore the NASCAR Hall of Fame; and drive an 800-horsepower stock car.
This place is huge! Nice facilities and very helpful staff members. This was our first time there to see our first race. We were given HOT passes for the Coca-Cola 600 which were awesome! We were able to watch the race in the pit. Got to see the pit crews in action when a car came into pit road. It was an amazing thing to watch. There was lots of of walking before we finally got to the inland. Definitely bring a cooler ,, sun screen and make sure you wear a good pair of walking shoes. Catch the trams if you have 2-3 more gates to go. Catching the tram was definitely the way to go. It was hot during the day but started to cool off right when the race started.

This was awesome, the people there were super nice, got free goodies with purchase of other items. Golf cart drivers gave us free rides due to having a child with a disability. Security saw us walking out with our kids and gave them free ice cream too!!! We had a blast and are excited to come back again soon. Parking wasn't that bad either. Plenty of it, plenty of free parking too. Thanks again. Was my favorite visit to a race track, I'm sad I live 300 miles away, I would make trips more often. Keep it up.
Had the opportunity to enjoy the Coca Cola 600 from a suite. We also got to tour the pit and garage. Hosts were very knowledgeable. Got to meet Austin Dillon before the race. Great service from the Levy folks staffing the suite. Lunch and dinner choices along with beverages were actually quite good. Amazing memorial day show recognizing our service members.

I have spent all but one of the last 12 Memorial Day weekends in Charlotte. I've taken friends and recommended it to others. It is a great way to spend the race day weekend if it's something that you enjoy. They put on an absolutely amazing pre-race display for the 600 but it's not something that I bother going to see anymore as most years it is pretty much the same. Ticket prices are very reasonable and it in field passes definitely something worth getting.
The All-Star Race was a blast with lots of excitement. I recommend getting a pit pass so that you can go down the race track and get a closer look at all the cars. Plus there is a lot of excitement of the track. For parking, I recommend doing the free parking near the drag strip. It may be a bit of a walk, but you have no traffic down there and can get home quicker. Overall, great first race experience!
