12 Masala
Area: East Charlotte
Nepali and Indian cuisine make up the menu at this new restaurant, with dishes like chicken momo, chow mein, special biryani and plenty of curry options. Choose your spice level appropriately and don’t skip sides of rice and naan to help soak up extra sauce.
Big Papa’s Empanadas
Area: West Charlotte
Oversized, indeed! This new shop off Rozzelles Ferry Road and West Trade Street sells house-made half-pound empanadas filled with ingredients like ground brisket, mac and cheese and shredded chicken. Consider visiting with a friend to tackle an empanada and an order of flame-grilled wings.
Deepwell
Area: Mooresville
The newest restaurant from Joe and Katy Kindred offers dry-aged steaks and dishes like crispy fried flounder, a wagyu smashburger and dry-aged barbecue duck. Seating options include a beautiful dining room with high top, bar and regular dining seats plus a spacious patio.
Fogo de Chão
Neighborhood: Uptown
Bring on the meat sweats! This upscale Brazilian steakhouse offers various steak selections cut tableside as you dine. The Market Table, filled with cheese, meats, salads, veggies and much more, is another highlight of the Fogo experience.
Lina’s Bakery & Coffee Shop
Area: East Charlotte
Enjoy Latin American sweets at this new bakery and coffee shop, owned by local Lina Robles. The menu is inspired by her Dominican culture with dashes of Honduran and Mexican influence mixed in. If you’re feeling thirsty, pair your treats with a latte or fresh fruit smoothie.
Little Mama’s
Area: Cornelius
The third location of this beloved Italian restaurant is officially open. Expect the pastas and pizzas you already know and love (hello, penne alla vodka) plus a lineup of curated cocktails and wines. With 140 seats available, this is the perfect destination for your next night out with friends or family.
No Knife Chicken & Waffles
Area: North Charlotte
Rapper DaBaby has opened a brunch restaurant right here in his hometown. Get ready to feast on loaded waffles with toppings like cookies and cream, peach cobbler and banana pudding. If you’re really feeling hungry, order the Soulfood Cornbread Waffle topped with chicken wings, collards, yams and gravy. Whew!
Postino
Neighborhood: Plaza Midwood
Charlotte’s second Postino is now open in the growing Commonwealth development. The wine bar is perfect for gathering with a group to share bruschetta boards and charcuterie. Paninis, small plates, soups and salads also round out the menu.
Raíces
Neighborhood: South End
Curated cuisine from the regions of Jalisco and Oaxaca can be found at this new Mexican restaurant in South End. The menu features a selection of starters, crudos, tacos and larger plates. The queso fundido with roasted poblano and wild mushrooms sounds like a great dish to begin with.
White Duck Taco Shop

Visitors of Lenny Boy Brewing will notice a new resident next time they stop by. White Duck Taco Shop has opened right inside their taproom, offering a signature selection of globally inspired tacos while you sip on Lenny Boy’s locally made kombucha.
