The Chamber by Wooden Robot

When my friends told me they were bringing me to the best brewery in Charlotte, they werent lying. I very rarely drink beer but when I do, I go all out. So much looked good so I got a flight - 5 very generous pours - which were suggested by the very friendly girl working the bar. Im not gonna pretend I know enough about beer to speak to the flavors and complexities but I know that I got all of their IPAs and they were all fantastic. I particularly liked the What Hes Having. The area inside was open, clean, COVID-adherent, and dog friendly (yay!). Theres no food but apparently theres always a food truck outside as well as plenty of tempting looking restaurants in NoDa. Definitely one of the best breweries Ive been to!
I've enjoyed Wooden Robots beers since I moved to CLT and they were just a small operation out of South End. To this day Good Morning Vietnam is one of my favorites in the area. The NoDa location has a lot of positives but also some areas of improvement. The location is great, close to a light rail stop, lots of seating, and a roof top area. Very clean and the murals are awesome. My biggest issues stem from the staff and the choice of music they play. I have found some of the staff to be very short, abrasive, and just not all that friendly. In a brewery position, thats kind of important. The music at this location is also... interesting? Come 6pm or so they switch to very loud and hardcore rap. I have no issues with rap music and listen to it myself, but it's very much a wrong place, wrong time kind of situation. I hope these few things are addressed ASAP as I do love what this location has to offer.
Great Location, Cool Interior and Patio, Good Beers Great: location is perfect, as it is literally right across from light rail and in a great spot close to other restaurants, bars, eateries. Flight tray setup is one of the coolest I've seen with a circle sticker to give your selections. Some neat selections based mostly around golden ales. The Funk (7/10) and Always (7/10) were good with unique flavors. The Vietnam (8/10) was a constantly changing ale in a good way. Cool interior with couches and tables. Service: helpful, friendly, and prompt. Value: one flight came to $14 before tip, which is pretty standard, maybe a little more, but overall fine. Improve: N/A Summary: Good beers @ great location!!
Excellent atmosphere! Great spot. Both indoor and outdoor space. Clean bathrooms.
Great beer and amazing staff! Joe and Brenden really know their beer and offer great recommendations. Have been to Southend location, this location has more intimate vibes, one projector displaying sports, and 2nd floor rooftop beer garden with nice view. Conveniently located alongside the Light rail. Was honored to have been served their last glass of Space Magic while on visit. Family friendly and dog friendly! Will be returning and recommend to all!
