I love the story behind Brakemans, to slow life down like the brakeman on the train. There is a shady patio out back, inside tables and out front seating to enjoy Downtown Matthews. They have a large drink selection and delicious treats. My favorites are the Ticket Please (Expresso milkshake) and the Matcha latte.

Brakeman's is one of many jewels in downtown Matthews. I love the decor, drinks, and ample space (indoor, sun room, and out). Reasonable amount of parking on the street out front or in the lot behind them. Perfect place for a small work meeting or just to take a little break. It can get a bit crowded.

Amazing bright scent -a- licios is what I called this place. this awesome coffee house in the middle of Matthews is the go to spot for your Java fix!!! Friendly customer service, awesome selection of pastries and beverages!! Plenty of outdoor seating and parking on the street. if you don't go here then I don't know what you doing with your life
