This place is amazing. The service was superb and super friendly employees. We went there for restaurant week in Charlotte, NC. The place is super spacious and has multiple seating options; tables, booths, semi-high chair tables and you can always sit at the bar, which takes quite some space. The service was fast and good which excellent good. I would recommend this place and will be going there again. Prices are on the higher side. It still affordable. Parking uptown Charlotte is always a pain, but they had valet parking, so no worries there.
Nice place. The waiter was excellent and the food was tasty. The portions, however, are not plentiful. I had an appetizer (charred octopus) and an entree (farm chicken), and I needed a snack when I got home. The reason I chose the chicken is, chicken is so inexpensive, I figured the portion would be more than adequate. While it was well prepared, it was definitely an inadequate portion size.
So let me tell you about our amazing server Tia!!!! Hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST! So personable, very knowledgeable and assisted us effortlessly with picking out the perfect meal! This was my first time dining at Essex but will not be the last! Thank you Tia for making this experience amazing! P.S. the lamb chops, butter chicken and short rib sliders are amazing!!!
Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. There was fast and courteous service. The bill was reasonable I would say. I can see why they have so many great reviews.
Nice place for Friday evening dinner. Liked the food. Especially butter chicken was awesome. liked samosa bites, lamb chops as well. But over priced. Had to pay $264 for 6 people and two of us didnt eat much. Staff is good.
