Improper Pig Central

We came last Saturday afternoon to try out since it just opened recently and it was the perfect patio weather. We brought our sweet pup along and when we were greeted at the hostess stand they immediately brought her a bowl of water. I would say 100% get the chow bao sliders. you get three sliders so we tried the pulled pork, chicken and brisket. they were gone in an instant. They also brought us their signature sauce carrier and I definitely was drawn to this spicy hoisin and their version of sweet and sour. for our entree we shared the pig pile: two meats, two sides, with hush puppies. we upgraded for the brisket and it was well worth it! (brisket lover right here..being from Texas and all). All in all from the service to the food it was 10/10. I had been waiting for review this place for so long and it was well worth the wait. I think also one of the owners swung by our table and introduced himself to us, and asked us for feedback or how we were enjoying everything which was a great personal touch. Needless to say we will be back for some good food and patio time!

Had such a great experience at The Improper Pig on Central Ave. I happened to go on a rainy day when it was pretty quiet inside, and honestly I feel like that made the experience even better because I was really able to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and receive amazing service from start to finish. The restaurant has a really unique concept blending barbecue with Asian-inspired flavors, and everything I tried was flavorful and well prepared. I ordered the brisket, collard greens, mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, and baked beans. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the sides tasted homemade and comforting, and the portions were great. The sweet potato casserole and collard greens definitely stood out to me. What truly made the experience exceptional though was the service from Curtis at the bar. He was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, made excellent recommendations from the menu, checked in consistently, and had such a warm and welcoming personality. Since it was slower due to the rain, I really got to experience genuine hospitality and conversation, which made the visit feel even more personal and memorable. Curtis has the kind of customer service that makes people want to come back. I also had the chance to meet Chef Rob, who was very friendly and personable, which added another special touch to the experience. Overall, such a cute spot with great food, amazing customer service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a place Ill return to. Check out my experience on TikTok: @ShiningSunflower_BR

Sarah did an amazing job making sure that we were taking care of! We even got to meet Coleman who was very welcoming to us as well. Would absolutely recommend anyone in the area to go to the improper bank. Such a great food and a lovely atmosphere!

Was walking by and saw people inside so decided to stop in- so glad we did!! Our server was very nice, food was great and we cant wait to go back to try everything else on the menu. The bao buns were really good- loved that you could get different proteins on each and there were 6 different sauces we could try with them. Will definitely be getting the spicy green beans again. Enjoyed my jalapeo margarita too. Was especially impressed with how smooth things were going considering it was one of their first few days open.
