Kristen definitely greeted us with a warm welcome to Urban Sweets as we approached the door. Being a native of Charlotte, I loved how all of the ice creams were named after different spots surrounding the Queen City , which brought back memories. Lol. We were able to taste the different types of ice creams, which made it challenging to select. Me and my husband both enjoyed our ice cream. We even ordered some of the mini cakes to enjoy later.

Saw this on IG and decided to try it out! It's a small space with just a few tables, clean, & cute. Owner, Christina is very personable & friendly. While I ate my ice cream (scoop of cinnamon & caramel swirl in a waffle cone) we conversed about everything! I felt like she was one of my girlfriends! I love the little Urban Sweets chocolate she puts on top (see pic)! I took the Raspberry mini cake to go which was good too. This is a newer business and she's done a lot to be running it on her own. One suggestion, is to label the window with the ice cream names so customers won't continually ask, "What flavor is this?" What's even better is you can sample the flavors before buying. Cups & waffle Cones are offered. I love the fact that she started as a mobile ice cream shop & you can still book her to come to your events wherever you are. Located in a good spot where other small restaurants are, so its a good area for a nice walk. Parking on the streets can be tricky but only a block or so from a parking garage & the monorail. I had to dip out earlier than planned due to an emergency, sorry Christina! But, I'll be back! Lol!

A beautiful little shop. A beautiful little scoop of ice cream. I'm not usually one for sweets but I do have a soft spot for ice cream. I've been waiting for this place to open for a hot minute! I'm in love with the coffee toffee almond mix they have. Perfect mix of sweet and savory. To compliment the amazing flavors they have, the presentation is amazing as well! Shout out to the owner for quite a nice set up they have! Can't wait to come here again and again!

Urban Sweets recently opened this store location, and we had a chance to try their ice creams. Plus points that they had two vegan flavors, and the kids enjoyed their choices also. The store was a bit in disarray, and Im confident the proprietor will figure out how to keep the retail and the event business separate in the future; if not, Id have to deduct a star for it. Worth a try for all those looking for ice cream in the area.

I visited Urban Sweets for the first time today and already can't wait to go back! The ice cream was incredibly creamy and delicious. They have a great selection of flavors -- including lots of gluten free options and some vegan ones. I had the triple chocolate and the peppermint, which were both amazing. Kristen is so welcoming! My sister and I loved chatting with her while enjoying our ice cream.
