Romare Bearden Park
We love this park. The landscape is so pretty. They've done a great job with the plants and the location is great. It's also fun to chat with all kinds of folks who are present. It's a great example of Charlotte culture. There's also a splash park, benches, restrooms, fields, fountains, covered dining and tables and some history about Romare Bearden. I love how nice everyone is and the place just seems safer than I would have thought it to be. The only downside was that right at sunset they locked the bathrooms on a busy, breezy night where there were tons of families out. After it was locked 3 groups walked up trying to get in.
Walked here with my girlfriend after seeing Ant-Man at studio movie grill. It's in a good location and has a really nice atmosphere. I really liked the big fountain as well as the benches where we could sit and watch dogs run around and play. Great way to end a date!
Nice urban park. Well kept. Music in the summer. For an uptown Park in which to picnic I would head for First Ward Park. Splash ground for kids. First Ward Park is much closer to the train. Just a personal preference. To be honest, is that personal preference that knocked the star off the rating
This is a beautiful water garden in the heart of uptown Charlotte, plenty of attractions all around it. Relax here after a night on the town or just come and let the kids run around. Its also got some wonderful views and is only a block away from the Charlotte knights ballpark. Make sure you check out the water keyboard as well, whether you're a kid or adult you will have a blast. Great place for some amateur or professional photography as well
I loved walking through the park. The flowers and greenery are beautiful set in the middle of the city. It was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the nice weather. The park is family friendly with a small area for children off to one side, a large field, and benches set up along the paths and fountains. The fountains were really pretty as well
