I just left this salon about 40 minutes ago. My nail tech was very nice, and happily accommodated all of my requests. I am very picky about my nails, and the quality of work delivered in my appointment today was phenomenal. Periodically throughout my nail services, my tech, Redd, ensured that I liked the work she was doing. They were out of the gel powder I originally went in for, and Redd showed me other options, she even tested different colors out on a napkin so that I could make another selection. All of the ladies in the salon take their time to ensure quality work, and I dont mind waiting for great service! I am VERY happy with my nails!

Great shop with a great owner and staff! I had a great time at the shop and I received great service. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you for making my mother and I feel right at home. I think that I will be coming back soon for another pedicure! You all are great, keep it up! It feels great to be able to support an up and coming business with so much promise, in a field that is not normally occupied by black women. This will surely be a successful and prosperous 2020 for Top Coat Nail Bar!!

They estimated a wait of an hour which turned into three hours. The only reason I waited was due to me having to shop in the mall and was able to leave and come back. They said it was due to them being understaffed but there are 8 chairs in this salon and 6 were filled with one person working on feet. When I finally did get a chance to get my nails done the quality of work I received compared to how long I waited was not worth it. You could honestly go somewhere else and receive the same quality if not better in half the time. I observed some of the girls as well and realized how slow they moved which is the real factor contributing to this 2 to 3 hour wait. If you ladies want to move like Mrs Daisy this should be an appointment only salon because you seriously waste peoples time like this. Then when speaking to the owner Ashley, the head technician at the front you could tell this lady has never ran a business before and has no idea what shes doing. I could tell she was very young and has a long way to go in regards to efficiently running a nail salon and diffusing situations to make things right with her customers when her staff or her are in the wrong is vital. You want to give your money to support black owned business but theres a reason why they can only get but so far. There work ethic and customer service is not up to par. I personally would never spend a dime with them again, it isn't worth it.

I'm so happy I found this salon. A friend recommended them since she knows the owner is all about her clients having the best beauty experience. I got the signature pedicure, and when I tell you all I remember is sitting in the chair! My tech was great, careful but firm, and my legs and feet look and feel AMAZING. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed, I can't wait to go back!

Terrible experience here, my fingers and cuticle area are cut, sore, and painful. My nails look TERRIBLE, and I got a new set! Every nail is a different shape, length and thickness. The polish looks like a toddler did it. I will be going to another salon tomorrow to soak off this mess and start over. I was so excited to patronize this young female owned establishment, but they need to do a better job with their techs and quality control. The atmosphere was very unprofessional, and neither of the owners were present during my appointment. When one of owners (a male) stepped in briefly the techs cleaned up their language and conversations. All talking about pricing and charging some people more than others. I hope they make the necessary changes... Time will tell and I wish them the best, but I will not be returning.
