The site of an old Ford Motor Company factory has transformed over the last 100 years into Camp North End. This family-friendly district boasts an array of locally owned eateries, small businesses, art galleries, murals and events throughout the year. Before you set out to explore, here’s your guide to Camp North End.
Districts
This expansive campus is divided into four districts: Mount, Keswick, Boileryard and Crossroads. Find a variety of food stalls in the Keswick District. The Boileryard hosts events and movie nights near Ford Factory. No matter where you are in Camp North End, there’s something to discover.
Events
Throughout the year, Camp North End hosts events, including the monthly Boileryard Brunch and weekly North End Farmers Market. Keep an eye out for popular annual events like Vintage Charlotte in the spring and Mistletoe Market during the holiday season.
Eat & Drink
Black Moth Bars
Grab a cocktail and explore Camp North End’s campus from this 1960s camper in the Boileryard District on weekends. These handcrafted cocktails are made with fresh, local ingredients that offer vibrant flavor with every sip, with a seasonally changing menu.
Blasian Asian Way
This popular local food truck is now a food stall in the Keswick District. Korean-inspired fare gets an American twist with dishes like bulgogi loaded fries with melted cheese and Korean barbecue sauce, bulgogi tacos with kimchi and wings tossed in a signature sauce.
Canteen
Beer, wine and cocktails are always on the menu of this tropical-inspired bar. The signature wine-based colada is a popular choice, especially during the warm weather months when you can listen to concerts on the Boileryard stage.
Cara’s Cookie Company
Honoring the legacy of the family’s late daughter, this cookie company opened a location in the Mount District. This “cozy cookie closet” serves half-pound cookies in crave-worthy flavors and whips up extra delights like creamy, edible cookie dough.
Cork & Cap
Order wine by the glass or grab a bottle to go at Cork & Cap. This shop has a curated inventory of world-class wines plus local brews. Find seating at the bar plus tables and couches to unwind when you need a break.
Eggroll Company
Eggrolls get a creative twist at this food stall in the Keswick District. Try options like the Uptown steak, chicken bacon ranch and pizza. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, order the apple pie egg roll topped with homemade cream cheese icing.
Free Range Bar
The sister concept of Free Range Brewing, Free Range Bar serves beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages. Choose a table inside the bar or bring your pet and find a spot on the patio, overlooking the Mount District.
Gravity Sourdough Pizza Co.
Alex Osterhoudt and Amanda Wagner turned their pizza-making hobby into a business, selling sourdough slices from a vintage travel trailer. The duo now have a location in the Boileryard District where they dish out pies finished in an 850-degree oven.
Halal Street Food
This popular Uptown food cart has another home with the Keswick food stalls. Halal Street Food’s menu is inspired by the Bashir family’s Dominican-Pakistani culture, with options like shawarma wraps, kabobs, gyros and platters topped with homemade white sauce.
Hex: Coffee, Kitchen and Natural Wines
The concept behind Hex was inspired by Japanese all-day cafes. Order a breakfast sandwich and coffee made with house-roasted beans in the morning or afternoon. Or stop by for dinner, offering a different menu after 5 p.m., plus natural wines.
Hip Hop Smoothies
Charlotte’s popular smoothie shop has a mobile trailer in the Boileryard, blending up fresh fruit smoothies with hip hop inspired names. Try the Gangsta Paradise with almond milk, strawberries, bananas and honey.
La Caseta
Walk up to La Caseta food stall in the Keswick District and order your fill of Latin American street food. Miriam and Dalton Espaillat serve the dishes they grew up with, such as pupusas with handmade tortillas, stuffed arepas, and asada tacos.
Life is Sweet
If you love a sweet treat, get your fill at this candy shop in the Keswick District. Life is Sweet is filled with retro treats, bulk bins and plenty of chocolate options. Find everything from gummy rings and bears to peanut butter cups.
Oh My Ganache
Brittani Sheppard puts a spin on classic cheesecake from her store in the Mount. The sweet potato pie cheesecake is a popular choice but many customers enjoy adding toppings like apple pie, bourbon caramel and more to vanilla cheesecake.
Room Service
The team behind Black Moth Bars opened Room Service, a full-service restaurant shaking up unique craft cocktails in the Keswick District. The food menu includes a mix of shareables like dips and whipped feta, as well as sandwiches.
Seemingly Overzealous Ice Cream
Don’t let dairy stop you from enjoying a sweet treat. Seemingly Overzealous is scooping up 100% egg- and dairy-free flavors from a shop in the Keswick District. Order a scoop of one of the seasonal flavors in a waffle cone or between chocolate chip cookies.
Soul Miner’s Garden
Soul Miner’s Garden transforms classic dishes into vegan-friendly fare. The award-winning loaded nachos, made with homemade tortilla chips are a fan favorite, along with the Reuben sandwich made with portabella mushrooms.
Sours
From award-winning mixologist Justin Hazelton, Sours is a walk-up window in the Mount District. Each season brings a new selection of innovative sour cocktails and mocktails at this 100-square-foot micro bar.
Surfire Market
Surefire Market is a bodega-style eatery in the Mount from brothers Magloire Lubika, Joel Lutuangu and Edric Lutuangu. The double-patty smash burgers are a popular choice, but Surefire’s menu also includes chicken sandwiches and a vegan handheld with falafel.
Tipsy Pickle
Eat and play at Tipsy Pickle, located in the Mount District. Enjoy a game of indoor pickleball then take a break to order sandwiches, Tex-Mex bowls and more. Tipsy Pickle’s drink menu includes coffee, cocktails and nonalcoholic agua frescas.

Current Nostalgia
Shop for sick sneakers at Current Nostalgia in the Keswick District. This streetwear brand and boutique showcases a curated selection of shoes, apparel and accessories from around the world, with seasonal drops.
DUPP&SWAT
Siblings and founders Davita and Dion Galloway utilize DUPP&SWATT as a “safe space” for artistic expression. Their studio in the Boileryard highlights works from local artists and hosts intimate events and workshops.
Next door, FRESH PRODUCE is a retail boutique with unique clothing, accessories and home goods from local artisans.
Fitteds
Fitteds is a shop specializing in custom-fitted hats in the Keswick District. Purchase apparel in-store or show off your unique style with a one-of-a-kind hat, complete with Fitteds’ signature purple brim.
Good Postage
Let Good Postage, located in the Mount, take care of all of your stational needs. Find everything from notebooks and planners to art supplies, pens and hand-drawn paper goods. Good Postage also hosts pop-up events throughout the year.

Hardy Boys Records & Comics
Hardy Boys, in the Keswick District, offers a touch of nostalgia in the form of records and comics. Find the latest vinyl releases and throwback treasures, plus retro comics and other vintage keepsakes.
House of Akasi
