This neighborhood tavern in historic Fourth Ward features influences from European pubs. Order signature dishes like the What It Is, blackened chicken breast over fresh rotini in a Cajun cream sauce, and pair it with a local beer on tap.

What a great find. I'm from Louisiana and normally do not order seafood outside of state, but decided to give it a try. The blackened fish sandwich was better than most I have had in New Orleans. Atmosphere was cozy and homely feel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If I travel back to Charlotte in the future, this will be a must, every time!!!!. Great Job to the owner and staff!!!

Always a delight to be here. We ordered What it is, Black bean burger and for the first time dessert - Blueberry Lemon cheesecake. The burger wasnt as I expected but thats fine we tried something new. What it is is my all time favorite dish to order. This time ordered extra sauce yummm. Blueberry Lemon cheesecake was amazing. Perfect balance of flavors for us. Dont think twice just order it!

A place so special you dont want to tell anyone about it, but then you also want it to be around for a long long time. This is THE quintessential neighborhood pub with friendly service and down to earth traditional American fare. The twice baked stuffed potatoes are served from 4 pm onwards and they are DELICIOUS!

Nice, old time, pub feeling. Parking is non-existant, so prepare for a hike to build up your appetite. You're in luck, food is great. Service was very good, and pleasant to deal with. Pricing is a bit on the high side, but not out of line. Place has some history as well. I'd recommend this place.

We ordered the black bean hummus, fried pickles, veggie burger and blackened cat fish. Everything tasted great. The hummus was very mild and it lacked extra flavor. The veggie burger also needs a little more of seasoning. I removed the red onion because the flavor of the quinoa pattie was overpowered by the onion. The onion rings were great. My husband had the fish and he really liked it. There are very few vegetarian options, including the black bean hummus and veggie burger. We ordered the warm brownie for desserts and this was the only item that didn't impress us. It was more of a dry chocolate cake. Overall we liked everything about this place. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The waiter was very polite and knew the menu. The food was ready in a timely manner. The place was clean. Parking can be difficult on a busy day. We spent $60 including tip. We will definitely be back to try other items.
