It is without question that I fell in love with Curry Gate at my first visit last year at the South Blvd. location. The food stall at Monarch Market offers many of the same menu items as the other locations. The service was excellent at my visit and the food quality wasnt any different than my previous experiences. I started first with one of their samosas, which is every bit of the word delicious. I love the crispiness of the pastry and the savory smooth taste of the filling. I followed it up with another classic, their Buttery and Garlic Naan. Its the absolute best especially when you dip it into the Chicken Korma, this coconut-flavored cream sauce. I also had the Chicken Palak and the taste was exactly how I remembered it to be from the South Blvd. location. My absolute favorite entree, though, is the Chicken Tikka Masala because it has this dash of sweetness. I washed down my meal with the the Mango Lassi. Ive had this before at another restaurant in Charlotte, and Curry Gates version tastes exactly the same, which is a winner. The next time Im in Monarch Market, I most definitely will be stopping by again to indulge.

The food took a while so I was hoping it was being prepared well. Unfortunately, I took a bite when I got home and found a large folded piece of plastic inside one of the pieces. Otherwise, the food tasted great, but I feel wary about ordering again.

Curry Gate is an Indian & Nepali Restaurant serving up some of the freshest, most flavorful Indian food Ive ever had. Indian cuisine is usually full of spicy flavors and Curry Gate did not disappoint! The Tikka Masala is official and the deep fried samosa pastry is a must try!
