Lula Banh Mi & Bakery

These are the best bahn mi sandwiches in Charlotte. They are made fresh with amazing bread. The outside is crispy but not hard. I dont know if they scoop the inside or if it is so soft that it gives way to the huge amount of sandwich filling they put inside. They are made fresh to order, but it doesnt take long to get it. The shop itself is clean and the service is really friendly and great. I sat at one of the outside tables to eat. It was sunny and warm. It was so filling I could only eat half.

Definitely a gem. The Bahn Mi is quickly becoming my fav. From the veggies to the cilantro with the perfect amount of meat. This place is at the top of my list. Went looking for matcha and discussed sandwich bliss. The bread is so fresh that I usually dont like my sandwich toasted but in this case it was perfect. The first time I ever had a sandwich where the meat taste fresh off the grill. The only draw back is this place is too darn far. I would also add a bit more fresh cilantro and a hint of spiceThat said the taste will have to live in my memory until we meet again because gas is to darn high

I came to Lula Banh Mi & Bakery today and Im so impressed! I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Banh Mi, Jasmine Milk Tea, Beef Stew with baguette, and Pt Chaud everything was absolutely delicious. The crispy pork belly banh mi was perfectly crunchy on the outside and flavorful inside. The bread was fresh and light, just how a good banh mi should be. The jasmine milk tea was smooth, fragrant, and not overly sweet. The beef stew was rich, flavorful, and comforting the broth was amazing and paired perfectly with the baguette. Even the pt chaud was flaky and tasty! I recently moved here from Houston, Texas (which has a lot of great Vietnamese food), and I can honestly say this is the best banh mi bakery Ive found in North Carolina so far. Truly a hidden gem. Ill definitely be coming back!

Woah! Being from Chicago, and frequented many a Vietnamese place that rock a good Banh Mi, I came with high expectations. I had the Tofu Lemongrass, inhaled it outside the restaurant, and went back in to take one home for tomorrow! So happy. They bake their own bread.

Went in for some small bites at this cute little place. The place is more set up for takeout. However, there is a long bench table with 4 chairs where you can sit and eat while looking out the front of the store. Also 2 little round tables outdoors. Love the colorful aesthetics. I tried some delicious springrolls and refreshing iced Jasmine milk tea.
