Oak Steakhouse Charlotte
This restaurant is extremely nice it has very very amazing Staff. After being seated the manager came out and introduced himself and took my drink order then told me my waiter will be over soon. Andre was definitely the best waiter I've had in years. He was very good at describing the menu, offering selections, and very good at listening and taken order. His knowledge of the menu was impeccable, I personally think he deserves a raise. Because of his Stellar service I will be returning the Oak Steakhouse. The location is extremely nice and what's crazy is I've passed this restaurant numerous times not even noticing it. Now that I'm aware of where it is I will be there every time I'm close to the South End area. Great location, great staff, great food, great company. What a way to end a Wednesday night
Your next date or friend link up should be at Oak steakhouse . Oaksteak house passes the ambiance check & the steaks were cooked to perfection . We enjoyed the cocktails and the wine pairings as well . Our server Ben was impeccable with his service and knowledge of wine and more . You cant visit a steak house and dont order steaks . We indulged in both the 8 Oz C.A.B FILET MIGNON, & the 18 Oz C.A.B PRIME KC STRIP /MKT added additions of king crab lobster. They were both prepared to perfection , super tender and full of flavor . The appetizers , sides , desserts everything was amazing the only dish I did not enjoy so much was the macaroni it lacked flavor . Other than that Oak steak house passes the ambiance , vibe , food & drinks check for me .
I had a decent time dining at Oak steakhouse with a fellow colleague. The only reason that I gave it a four-star there were some instances where there was a miscommunication between the staff and the kitchen on preparedness of the steak that was ordered. The drinks were fantastic but not a lot to choose from on the regular menu.
Update: received an email apologizing for the experience, and asking me to reach out to the GM as they wanted to invite us back. I sent an email to the GM but no response. I guess we now know why they are having operational problems. ********************************************** We may return, but not on a Saturday evening. Made reservations, but had to wait at front door well beyond our reservation time. Front door staff were very unorganized, but pleasant. The big disappointment was service, at every single step of our experience. First approach: 8 minutes. Cocktail order and appetizer order took 11 minutes, then received drinks 22 minutes later. Every single entree was delivered to the wrong person, and all had been ordered incorrectly and arrived with the incorrect side dishes. No check back on taste until the meal was almost completed. Sauces and condiments were not delivered on time. Water wasnt refilled until we flagged down another employee, and check settlement was incredibly long. Our food was generally very good, the high point of our evening. But the long time for preparation and delivery, and RE-delivery made for a less than happy evening. The waitress, who did not know the menu and incorrectly described several items, was one of the nicest people weve met, but either wasnt trained, or didnt retain any of the training she received. Very disappointing.
Was a nice place, took a bit to get our food but was ok with that. Only thing is if you going to be a top end steakhouse you should probably know how to cook steaks. I got mine medium and it was basically medium rare, hers was supposed to be medium well but it was really well done. Probably not on the list to go back to.
