Excellent food and attentive service. But don't bring the kids. There's no kid friendly menu. Portions are large which us fine for table-sharing. No booster seats. Everything is a la carte. Great for a couples night out. Reservations necessary.

I went to this restaurant for my anniversary. When the waiter mentioned that they'd been opened for a year, we mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary as well. Soon after, the Manger came over with two glasses of champagne. Later we were brought a free appetizer. We ordered the ribeyes medium and got the pork belly Mac and cheese and the collards as our sides. The side were sharable. I've been to Del Frisco, Ruth Chris, and Sullivan's...they all were great but Oak is AMAZING! Every person that came to our table told us happy anniversary. The steaks were perfectly cooked. They were tender and seasoned well. The Mac and cheese and collards were so good, I felt like I was in a soul food restaurant. They're pricey but it is well worth it if you are celebrating a special occasion or just want to spoil yourself or your loved one. This is one of my new favorite spots and if you come, you will not be disappointed. Sidebar, the drinks were great too and I'm feeling my Moscow Mule so kudos to them for that too. 5 stars without a doubt.

Went in the recommendation of a friend and glad I did. Grilled octopus appetizer was a nice interesting change of pace from the standard calamari. The certified Angus beef steaks we're cooked perfectly medium rare and medium. They we're about 2-2.5" thick and juicy. Get the brussel sprouts as a side, they are without question the best I've ever had. Pork belly Mac n cheese was delicious too. Oak is definitely a sleeper pick for best steakhouses in CLT.

I've been here several times now and the quality of meat and the rest of the food blows away the other steak houses. The only down side is that despite it's small size, it gets noisy. It's not a word I use often, but the steaks here are tremendous. The bar service is always great, the wine list of decent, the sides, especially the Brussels sprouts are unique and pair great with red meat. I hope the quality keeps up once the restaurant becomes a fixture.

Oak is literally impeccable! The food is amazing, the service is great and the staff phenomenal. Oak is by far my new favorite steakhouse. I can not wait to return. Susan made the experience above and beyond. Incredible!
