The Brass Tap - South End
Vylett Cross
Decent amount of beers on tap and pretty good sliders. Prime rib was on the tough side and on one of the chickens it had a hair. Restaurant was also very warm and it wasnt packed with people at all.

We were looking for a place for happy hour in South End that we hadn't been to so we decided to check this place out. They have a ton of taps. Thursdays are $4 NC beers. I was disappointed with all the variety they had, they didn't have any kombucha. We decided to try the Korean BBQ pork nachos and they were very good. The portion size was huge. I was impressed with the amount of meat that came on them. So many toppings, you didn't have to worry about plain chips. Overall, it was a good place to hang out for a couple of hours after work!

This place has a huge selection of beer on tap! The indoor area was accommodating but the outdoor area was legit. The enclosed heated patio with ample seating was lovely on a cold and rainy day. Service was pretty good also. Very attentive and checked to see if we needed anything a couple of times.

Food was really good. Along with the presentation on the plate. You dont see alot of these types of places care too much about presentation of the food. Bartender was really nice, and attentive. Issue I had was thier registers went down. Gave my card number to the manager and he said he'd email me a receipt. Still haven't received a receipt. Otherwise would return for lunch. Haven't drank here in years, so cant comment on that aspect.

Been here a few times, use to think it was okay for a chain, decent beer selection. Tonight I noticed they posted on their Facebook page that they would be airing the Clemson football game. I was excited as the other bars in the area were closing early due to the Charlotte protests. Wow was I dissapointed. We arrived to a bunch of other Clemson fans who were begging the rude bartender to change the sound from the NFL game to the Clemson game. No dice. She claimed it was programmed to NFL and there was no way to change it, may have been true, idk. We did a quick survey around the bar, it was 90% Clemson fans, 10% who cared about the NFL game, still no change. In fact, the rude bar tender proceeded to change the TV me and my friends were watching that showed the Clemson game without sound to the NFL game. I wish I remember her name. African America female, maybe 5'6". Ruined out night out. Left no tip for the rude bar tender and left after 1 beer and before ordering food. Will never go back.
