The oysters are a must for 1$
Love this place! I went to Rock Salt with a friend a few weeks ago during a late weekday afternoon and we had a great experience. We wanted to eat outside and didn't think we'd be able to since there wasn't enough staff, but a waiter named Leo offered to take our table so we could enjoy the weather. He was fantastic! Turns out he had only recently started but knew so much about the menu and offered recommendations that made our experience so much better! At one point it started to get a bit chilly, but without us even asking he turned on the heater next to our table. Everything was so good - the food, the drinks, the experience, and especially Leo who's our new favorite waiter!
Was super excited to try this place out but unfortunately the service provided by Leonardo G (guy with the long black and blonde hair) put a huge damper on the experience. We felt rushed when ordering, and the server acted as if any request I asked was a total inconvenience. I understand being busy, but part of being a waiter is exercising a bit of patience and having quality service. Instead this server had absolutely no enthusiasm and did not make us feel welcomed. When food arrived, all of my requests were completely ignored. My $60 fish was not repaired as I asked. Ordered some zucchini and was assured multiple times it didnt have pork on it. Turns out those little red crumbs on top of it were in fact bacon. I cannot eat pork. He didnt even apologize. Just stormed off with the plate. He came around our table multiple times and only stopped to check on us once. The $60 fish was just okay - nothing special at all like we were expecting - and the poor service didnt make the experience any better. Overall felt undervalued and did not get my moneys worth from this restaurant. Have definitely had better food and better service from places that cost a fraction of their price. Will more than likely not return here.
Had the best time ever Nikki the GM is solid gold. I had the girl with short hair as a server. She was amazing. Super cool guy with awesome face tattoos Cooked up our food he rocks and is very polite . A hidden gym for anybody and everybody. I'll definitely be back.
My husband and I used to LOVE this restaurant. Visited tonight and they have stopped offering steamed oysters. You can only get them raw because the chef said he doesnt like how they come out steamed apparently. Very disappointed as I only eat them steamed. Visit before this my husband ordered halibut that ended up costing $65 for a normal sized piece of fish. $65 for halibut? Tonight the snapper was $60. Not sure what is going on but I guess I will have to find a new place for oysters. Otherwise great atmosphere. Love everything else about it.
