Historic Rosedale, Charlotte’s oldest frame home, was built in 1815 and is an exemplary example of early 19th century architecture in the Carolinas. The home is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and was restored and preserved as a house museum by the Historic Rosedale Foundation. Today, Rosedale strives to serve the community through house museum and garden tours, special events, preservation, and outreach programs. It is their ongoing mission to research, preserve, and present the stories of those who lived and worked at Rosedale, both the Frew, Caldwell, and Davidson families and the African-Americans, enslaved and free.

Open every last Saturday of the month from 12:00 - 3:00 PM.

Guided house tour was nice, but it was supposed to be capped at 15 people and there were many more in our group. We were closely grouped together inside and no masks required.

Beautiful experience and the man and his wife showed us a beautiful imaginative time of what the history of Rosedale once was. We enjoyed!

Went there for a tour of the four most haunted places on the property at night. It was alot of fun. Enjoyed the stories and will definitely come back for the regular tour sometime.
