Inhale…Exhale and get in touch with your inner yogi as Flow – Lab Yoga invites you to celebrate Earth Day with a free yoga session at Coco and the Director. Experience 45 minutes of energizing Vinyasa yoga in the hip surroundings of the Uptown coffee shop. Anyone who would like to join just needs to bring their own mat and RSVP here, space is limited.

What better way to celebrate the Earth than out in its beautiful green? Earth Day Celebration on the Greenway is a day filled with exciting outdoor activities like cane pole fishing, canoeing & kayaking, lead-line horse rides and a special appearance by local farm animals. There will also be a Recycled Fashion Showcase featuring creative costumes made from recycled materials to raise environmental and waste awareness.
Earth Day & Recycling in Ballantyne

Ballantyne is holding its annual community event for Earth Day featuring music, a farmer’s market, food trucks, and an awesome opportunity to bring home a furry pal with their on-site dog adoptions. Over 40 local vendors will be showcasing their green products, while guests are encouraged to take advantage of free, secure shredding and recycling opportunities beginning at 7 a.m. Looking to give back? Togetherhood is creating kits to encourage reading among local students over the summer break. Bring in a new or used children’s book donation, and help to create bookworms and write letters of inspiration to be added to the reading kits.
Annual Tree Climbing Competition at Freedom Park

All eyes will be aimed high at this year’s Annual Tree Climbing Competition. Bring the family out for free Family Fun Climb on Saturday from 9am to 5pm, where they’ll learn safety tips on climbing from a Professional Certified Arborists. During the competition, 60 climbers will compete but only the top finishers will advance to the Master's Challenge on Sunday where the Master Tree Climbing Champion will be crowned.
Earth Day Party & Sunshine Gose Release

A warm weather beverage is brewing for Earth Day at Birdsong Brewing Co. To commemorate Earth Day the brewery will be releasing their new Sunshine Lemon Gose and hosting Earth-friendly vendors to help you show your appreciation for our planet. Take the light rail or ride share to the event for a chance to win an awesome giveaway and participate in their collection of used Keurig pods, chip bags/snack wrappers, and disposable cups/lids. Williams Subaru of Charlotte will work with TerraCycle to upcycle those items into something for the community, like a park bench, picnic table, or playground. As if you need any incentive to help out planet Earth, Williams Subaru of Charlotte will be purchasing beer for people who donate.
