Food & Drink
Bit by Seoul Food
Neighborhood: SouthPark
Hours: 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
The owners of Seoul Food Meat Co. and Let’s Meat have opened a new concept featuring wings, tacos, bao buns and lettuce wraps. Guests can choose deep-fried chicken, tofu or mushrooms with a sauce of choice (try the Soy Garlic) or craft their own handheld or bowl with a protein (beef, chicken, pork or mushroom). Don’t forget a side of kimchi fries.
Chez Marie Pâtisserie
Neighborhood: SouthPark
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Closed Sunday-Monday.
Indulge in gorgeous pastries and housemade bread at this new café in SouthPark. Feel like staying a while? Along with sandwiches and salad, you can order a drink from their full espresso bar (try that beautiful Blue Matcha!).
Choi’s Korean Kitchen & Soju Bar
Neighborhood: Montclaire South
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., 5-9 p.m.; Closed Monday.
Loyal fans of Choi’s Korea & Wing are thrilled to know that this longtime restaurant, which closed its doors in October 2021, is re-opening under a slightly new name. The family’s youngest daughter, Minae Choi, will offer classic Korean dishes as before plus trendier options and soju, a Korean liquor. We can’t wait to see what’s next for this beloved spot.
Dandelion Market
Neighborhood: Uptown
Hours: Thursday-Sunday, 3-11 p.m. (dinner) and 2 a.m. (bar); Closed Monday-Wednesday.
This Uptown bar and restaurant closed its doors at the beginning of COVID-19. Two years later, they’re back in business. Come for dinner with a group of friends (the dishes are all shareable) then stay for a night of dancing. You’re bound to have an amazing time.
Hip Pies
Neighborhood: Uptown
Hours: Monday-Saturday, hours posted daily on Instagram.
Classic and unique pies alike will be available at this new shop at the Charlotte Visitor Info Center. Flavors will change daily but guests can expect sweet and savory individually-sized pies like Carolina Crab Cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter (vegan), Cherry Cheerwine and Green Chicken Curry. Follow along on Instagram to stay up-to-date on their daily offerings.
Mano Bella Artisan Foods
Neighborhood: Uptown
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Closed Monday.
You’ve probably run into this couple-owned scratch-made pasta pop-up at farmers markets across town. Now you can find them in The Market at 7th Street selling fresh and dry pasta, sauces, desserts and prepared dishes for the family. And don’t worry — they’re still setting up at the markets, too.
Tap & Vine
Area: StoneCrest
Hours: Monday 11:30 a.m.- 11 p.m.; Tuesday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-midnight; Friday-Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-1 a.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
The space formerly occupied by Civetta is now home to a new Tap & Vine, which got its start in Indian Trail. The menu includes classic dishes like Lamb Chops, Chicken Marsala and Fish & Chips, and, on Sundays, they offer a brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you’re a wine drinker, make plans for a Monday visit while select bottles are half-price all day long.
The Waterman
Area: Lake Norman
Hours: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Closed Monday-Tuesday (Hours subject to change).
Charlotte’s popular seafood joint now has a second home in the Lake Norman area. You can expect the same dishes you love from their South End location, like oyster happy hour, beachy drinks and weekend brunch. Just a short drive from the city, this one’s definitely worth the trip!
Things to Do
PGA Tour Superstore
Neighborhood: Ballantyne
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Golf fans, this one’s for you. The state’s first PGA Tour Superstore is open in Ballantyne where you’ll find accessories for golf, pickleball and tennis. You can even purchase golf swing lessons which take place right in the store through FORESiGHT and V1 Sports video analysis.

The building features studios and two-bedroom units with amenities such as a fitness center, outdoor patio with grills and rentable e-bikes.
