Bossy Beulah’s
Neighborhood: Ballantyne
The additions to The Bowl at Ballantyne continue with the opening of this chicken shack’s fifth location. Treat yourself to a fried chicken sandwich, Bossy Bites or a chicken salad wrap for lunch this week.
Dilworth Tasting Room
Neighborhood: Plaza Midwood
DTR now has a third location, complete with unique décor, a long wine list, craft cocktails and a food menu featuring traditional Croatian cuisine. Take in the comforting vibes indoors, or head outside for an evening on the patio. The restaurant will offer brunch this fall.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill
Area: Fort Mill, S.C.
Dive on down to York County and check out the newest Firebirds, a Charlotte-born restaurant that has four other locations in the area. The menu includes the same wood-fired steaks, burgers and fish dishes you’ve grown to love plus a large U-shaped “FIREBAR” where guests can enjoy bar bites and drinks.

Neighborhood: Elizabeth
Grab your pals and embark on an evening of European-inspired small plates, artisanal pizza, worldly wines and craft cocktails. The chic space features artwork depicting travel destinations plus velvet furniture, gold accents, and plenty of bar and patio seating.
Harriet’s Hamburgers
Neighborhood: Ballantyne
This local hamburger joint now has its first stand-alone restaurant, located at The Bowl at Ballantyne. Menu items reflect the Optimist Hall options with the addition of cheese curds, Happiness Meals for kids and the previously secret menu item, the Juicy Lucy cheese-stuffed burger.
Hermanita
Neighborhood: Plaza Midwood
If you know, you know. The door to this new speakeasy-style bar is right inside El Malo, the owners’ new taco shop. Head inside for an array of mezcal and tequila-based cocktails, and feel free to order late-night bites from the El Malo kitchen.
MaBí Cocina Tropical
Neighborhood: NoDa
Raydal Hospitality Group’s newest dining concept is a Dominican restaurant. Explore dishes like Dominican-spiced chicken and coconut rice and beans, along with pastries, while sipping on cocktails designed by local mixologist Larry Suggs.
Q’s Culinary
Area: North Charlotte
This popular food cart now has a storefront where owner Kwindarius “Q” Sapp offers loaded hot dogs and smash burgers. You may still see the original culinary cart riding around, too, as it will be used at local events.
RiCkO’s Churro Bar
Neighborhood: NoDa
Ever dreamt of building your own hot, freshly made churro? Experience the magic at this new churro bar from the owner of Tacos Rick-O. Get your fried dough stuffed and topped with all kinds of goodies. The shop also serves caffeinated drinks and refreshers.
Salted Melon Market & Eatery
Area: East Charlotte
The Eastover neighborhood is now home to the city’s second Salted Melon. Inside, guests can enjoy the “counter service menu” including all-day breakfast, sandwiches, salads and bowls. If you need a quick refresher, try one of the new smoothies.
Sea Grill Restaurant & Bar
Neighborhood: Uptown
Explore land and sea at this new upscale restaurant, located in the Queen City Quarter. From seafood towers, raw bar dishes and sushi rolls to lamb chops, tomahawk steak and duck breast, this spot has something for everyone. The team also serves daily lunch and weekend brunch.
Seaboard Brewing
Neighborhood: Lower South End
Matthews’ only brewery now has a home for its second taproom. At the Charlotte location, you’ll find pizza and build-your-own charcuterie options, plus craft cocktails and several weekly drink specials. Expect live music and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays.
Single Barrel Room
Neighborhood: Plaza Midwood
Tucked inside Whiskey Warehouse, you’ll find a reopened cocktail lounge serving carefully crafted cocktails, wine, beer and small plates. The speakeasy-style bar is open every night starting at 6 p.m. and seats up to 30 guests.
Sushi Hana
Neighborhood: Ballantyne
A popular spot for all-you-can-eat sushi now has a second location. Bring the whole family and dig into an expansive menu of “AYCE” options for lunch or dinner. A la carte items are also available.

Area: East Charlotte
Escape the daily grind with a massage at Mood House’s second location. Memberships are available for those who plan to come in monthly, or purchase services a la carte. Have fun “choosing your mood,” or selecting one of four candle scents to use during your massage.
