Bossy Beulah’s
Area: Fort Mill
Hours: Daily, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Now you can enjoy this local Charlotte restaurant right over in South Carolina. The menu may be simple, with fried chicken sandwiches, wings and nuggets, but every item packs a flavorful punch. This family-friendly spot has outdoor seating, and the kids will love ending their meals with a soft-serve cone.
EDEN of Plaza
Neighborhood: Plaza Midwood
Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 5 p.m.-2 a.m.; Saturday, 2 p.m.-2 a.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m.-11 p.m.; Closed Monday.
This new, luxurious lounge and bar is now open in the former Peculiar Rabbit spot. Guests can enjoy craft cocktails and a food menu of small plates and desserts. Visiting with a crew? Try one of the shareable cocktails, available for parties of two, four or six. VIP reservations are available online on select dates and times.
Livy’s Neapolitan Pizzeria
Area: Concord
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
Along with the location at Heist Brewery & Barrel Arts, you can now enjoy this Neapolitan pizza in Concord, too. Gibson Mill Market, a locally sourced food hall, is now home to the second Livy’s location. Guests love the creative pizzas and small plate offerings. Mama Katie’s
Area: Mooresville
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.; Closed Monday.
When the owners of Black Eye’d Pea restaurant wanted to retire, their friends Antonio and Katie Reyes, who also own El Cerro Reyes and 3 Reyes Mexican Restaurant in Mooresville, jumped in to open a new concept in its place. Mama Katie’s takes a different approach from the other spots with a menu of sandwiches, salads and all-day breakfast. The dishes and recipes are the same as those from Black Eye’d Pea with a few additions, like gluten-free options.
Phat Burrito
Neighborhood: LoSo
Hours: Daily, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Remember this South End gem? It closed nearly six years ago, but now it’s back open in a quickly developing neighborhood. Fans will be pleased to know that Phat Burrito still offers giant, overstuffed burritos made with the same recipes as before. Want to branch out? Try the tacos, quesadillas or salads instead.
Puerta
Neighborhood: Elizabeth
Hours: Sunday-Tuesday, 5 p.m.-midnight; Wednesday-Saturday, 5 p.m.-2 a.m.
1957 Hospitality Group, which includes The Crunkleton, Rosemont Market and Wine Bar and Cheat’s Cheesesteak Parlor, now has a new concept under its belt. Puerta’s Mexican-inspired menu offers tacos, handmade tortillas, salsas and desserts. The drink menu features plenty of tequila and mezcal varieties in several margarita flavors, including a frozen option.
Resident Culture Brewing Co.
Neighborhood: Uptown
Hours: Monday-Thursday, noon-9 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, noon-10 p.m.; Sunday, noon- 8 p.m.
This locally owned brewery has a new spot at The Market at 7th Street, formerly held by Tank’s Tap. Choose from 12 beers on tap plus canned beer and frozen margaritas. The brewery owners plan to open a larger space in the market sometime next year.
Sixty Vines
Neighborhood: South End

This Texas-based concept has made Charlotte its first North Carolina home. Inside, you’ll find 60 wines on tap plus cocktails and other boozy and non-alcoholic drinks. Hungry? Stay for the wood-fired pizza pies, shareable plates and charcuterie boards.
The Conspiracy

Northwood Ravin, a luxury apartment management company, has opened its first public bar featuring cocktails with conspiracy-themed names and low-lit speakeasy vibes. Patrons can also snack on small plates like goat cheese and pesto dip, chicken meatballs and Cuban sliders. Grab a seat at the bar or settle into a cozy booth when you arrive.

Owner Suhail Thaker, originally from Los Angeles, has 13 years of experience in the industry and is proud to provide a “West Coast-inspired dispensary” to the Queen City.
